Conor is running to take real action on climate. He believes that a cleaner and greener Blackrock is possible and necessary for a better future.

Conor has a track record of working with local community groups, educators, businesses, and government to implement sustainable policies and initiatives. Building on this he will deliver comprehensive plans to tackle environmental challenges in Blackrock and across DLRCC.
Much damage has already been done, we now need to mitigate further carbon output, while adapting for changing climate and the impact it will have.
BUILDING BLACKROCK
Conor's 'Building Blackrock' strategy includes integrating public transport infrastructure, promoting zero-waste practices, and supporting local green businesses. By working together, we can create a more resilient and prosperous community:

Affordable housing through derelict building and 'over shop' grants;

Improved education supports with a focus on extra curricular activities;

Investing in renewable energy training and job creation;

More regular water quality testing and display of same;

Flood defences along our coast; and,

Prioritising active travel and connecting DLR infrastructure.

Ciaran Cuffe MEP, along with other Irish MEPs, successfully delivered the Nature Resoration law, one of the most crucial votes in the history of the European Parliament with the future of nature and biodiversity at stake on the continent.
Minister Ossian Smyth TD, is delivering on the circular economy with innovation including bottle-return schemes and practical improvements such as banning nicotine vapes.
Conor Dowling, is your Blackrock candidate for 2024 with experience as a lecturer in Trinity College Dublin, and delivering climate projects across Ireland.
